How to Ace the Dame Alice Owen’s Verbal Reasoning entrance exam

It’s hard to believe that schools insist that tutoring and practice will not make a difference in entrance exams.
We are told that the exams are structured to provide a level playing field for all students.
Is this the case in sport ? Can you run as fast as someone who trains every day?, can you bowl spin?, how about a decent serve in tennis?
What about your job. Could I do it? Would I be able to drive a train, design a website, build a house, or teach math without instruction, guidence and practice?
Most definately not !
It takes knowledge and practice to become an expert, so why are we told entrance exams are different.
Thanks to Ronan at Team Tutor my child not only passed the Verbal Reasoning stage of the entrance exam, she aced it, got the highest score possible, and ranked number 1 out of more than 1200 children.
Was she born a Verbal Reasoning genious? I dont think so!
So how did she do it…. Obviously with good instruction, practice and the right tools.
Team Tutor lessons, family support and a few hours a week practice.
