Guided 11Plus

Team Tutor Guided 11Plus utilises formative and summative assessment, cutting edge technology and a range of teaching methods to engage children of all learning styles.

Children complete a Maths and VR topic each week.

The teaching component of the course is contained with each instructional video taking approx. 30-45 minutes to work through. Questions (Practice and exam type) contained within the lesson give children an opportunity to practice what they are learning.

The work is also assessed by means of differentiated worksheets and quizzes at the end of each topic.

Term 1

The first term involves familiarization with and practice of all the topics to be covered in both the VR and Math courses. Each week a VR and Math lesson is completed alongside an associated worksheet and quiz.

Term 2

An intermediate Math or VR mock paper (25 questions, no time restrictions) is completed each week in the second term. These are completed online and a report on the results of each paper informs parents and children of areas requiring attention.
The topics are revisited with more challenging worksheets to be completed on a weekly basis; the worksheets in term 2 contain questions of a similar level to those in the entrance exams and build on the core competencies acquired in term 1.

Term 3

Weekly full mock tests are introduced, which are time based, to mirror exam conditions.

Weekly worksheets per topic, with questions of the same difficulty as in the real entrance exams

10 minute tests containing a selection of questions from different topics are introduced in the final term. These tests improve speed, accuracy, and competence in all topics across the VR and Math courses. The 10 minute tests also highlight topics that may need further work.
